Dimanche 2 octobre 2022.
quand on y pense.
l’observatoire. Diner à la
maison.
Sunday, October 2, 2022
Even warmer today, we had thought of going to visit
the Parthenon but it is too hot. After a long breakfast on the terrace, we just
walk to the other side of the train tracks, have an orange juice in a small
square where children are playing. On Sundays, several couples are seated at
the cafes, but during the week it is mostly men. Lunch and coffee at home, and
Jens has a zoom with Edmond at 4 p.m. Then walk in the park around the
Acropolis in the late afternoon. We are not the only ones to go there, and I believe
that they are mainly Greeks, it is less hot at this time and the light is
beautiful on the Parthenon. We climb by paths that arrive on rocks and these
rocks are so worn that they are slippery, thousands of walkers have passed
there for centuries, it is impressive when you think about it. We go down a
little, go up on the neighboring hill towards the ruins of a church and return
by the observatory. Dinner at
home.
